The FourGen Case Tools (also referred to as Endura Application Work Bench) provide a complete environment for developing deep, industrial strength applications that will run on Informix, DB2 or Oracle databases.

Functional description

FourGen Form Painter:

• This tool allows the user to create new forms, or update existing ones. The user chooses from a variety of form types, such as header or header/detail for the main program screen, or zoom, query, extension and other types for other screens that will be attached to the program. At the end, the Painter writes an Informix-4GL "perform" file (.per).
• FourGen Screen Generator: The .per file is the source file for the FourGen Screen Generator. A section labeled "CODEGEN" is part of the .per file.
• FourGen Report Generator:The FourGen Report Generator is used to produce both report and posting programs.
