New XML performance benchmark: Transaction Processing over XML (TPoX)
- an application-level XML database benchmark based on a financial application scenario. It can be used to evaluate the performance of XML database systems, focusing on XQuery, SQL/XML, XML storage, XML indexing, XML Schema support, logging, concurrency and other database aspects. So far, TPoX has been used by IBM and by Intel
to evaluate performance & scalability of both software and hardware.

Industry Formats and Services with pureXML is a demonstration of end-to-end XML data exchange with a DB2 9 pureXML database, retrieval through RESTful generic Web services, and user interaction provided through Atom feeds and XForms-capable browsers.
