Our worldwide centers are hands-on facilities where IBM professionals work with customers to design advanced on demand infrastructure solutions and develop proofs of concept (PoCs). These centers can help bridge the gap between the conceptual level of On Demand Business and how to implement new technologies such as Web 2.0 innovation, cloud computing, core banking, and scalability. HiPODS provides high-value services and technology to solve IT infrastructure problems that encompass all IBM servers in the brand as well as our broad software portfolio. The infrastructure solutions provide the solid foundation for the business solutions that help companies succeed on the marketplace.
Customers are nominated by their IBM representative based upon their current On Demand Business plans and capabilities. After a technical and business review, qualified customers take part in a requirements gathering session and later come to a HiPODS location for design workshops lasting from one to three days. If appropriate, a proof-of-concept session ranging from two to eight weeks may follow.
The HiPODS team can help you if your business:
- Needs a first-of-a-kind, unique On Demand Business solution
- Requires a complex integration solution
- Can apply the technology model to your entire industry
- Can dedicate skilled staff for up to a week to a design workshop
- Can dedicate skilled staff for up to four weeks for a proof of concept
- Can possibly provide data, systems access, and other support for the duration of the engagement
The HiPODS centers represent a significant investment for IBM and our customers.
Companies must be prepared to provide the necessary resources
for the length of the engagement.
Customers must be nominated by an IBM representative to attend and are asked
to make certain commitments. Preference is given to companies who seek to create
first-of-a-kind on demand business solutions.
