AIX 5L Virtualization Performance Management
Learn advanced skills to measure, analyze, and tune AIX 5L subsystems for optimal performance on the IBM POWER5 processor-based systems. Focus on the features that relate to the special monitoring, configuring, performance management, and tuning needs of AIX 5L logical partitions (LPAR). This course does not cover application monitoring and tuning.
Taking AIX to the Next Level: Migration, upgrades, and updates e-Learning course
This course describes two types of AIX tasks: upgrading (often referred to as migration) and updating. Upgrading involves moving to a later maintenance package or technology level of the IBM AIX operating system, for example, upgrading from AIX 5.1 to AIX 5.3. Updating involves moving to a later technology level, for example, updating from AIX 5.300-01 to AIX 5.300-04. In this course, you will learn whether upgrading or updating is required to meet your goals, items to consider before performing an upgrade or update, and the methods and tools used to perform these tasks.
