This new tool imports monitoring data from Tivoli Monitoring for Transaction Performance, to allow the developer, from within Eclipse, to analyze and resolve application problems found in production. The toolkit is important for ensuring system performance which is part of effective IT lifecycle management. An updated version has been made available via the updater to run with Rational Application Developer and Rational Software Architect v6.0.1.

Prerequisites

You must have the following software installed before using this toolkit:

1. Application Developer v6.0.0.1 or v6.0.1 or Software Architect v6.0.0.1 or v6.0.1
2. Tivoli Monitoring for Transaction Performance, Version 5.3 fix pack 1 (5.3.0.1)

Installation instructions

Download the toolkits at the bottom of this article.

1. From the table below, download the IBM Problem Resolution Toolkit (zip format) for your desired platform.
2. Unzip this file and read the Installation Guide (Install.html) and Release Notes (readme.html) located in the <platform>\<platform>\disk1 sub-directory of the zip file contents.
3. Install the Problem Resolution Toolkit onto the same machine as Rational Application Developer or Rational Software Architect.
