This podcast covers the advantages of implementing Web services import and export in WebSphere Process Server:

  • Web services are the best hope for interoperability, and SOA is all about interoperability.

  • WebSphere Process Server has a services integration framework that can take different applications and components and integrate them quickly and easily.

  • With Web services export in WebSphere Process Server, you can achieve interoperability by taking an interface, a Web Services Description Language (WSDL) file, then access a business logic as a service.

  • With Web services import, the WSDL interface represents an outside partner or vendor. To WebSphere Process Server, it looks the same and the SCA invocation is the same. It is transparent to you within WebSphere Process Server.
