The 2008 developerWorks Software Evaluation Kit (SEK) for Windows® and Linux® platforms provides a sample of the many trial and no-charge software products available from IBM®. This SEK includes four DVDs with more than 25GB of the latest trial software products -- development and testing tools, as well as middleware runtimes -- from IBM Information Management, Lotus®, Rational®, Tivoli®, and WebSphere® software.

The products are designed for developers who want to develop and test their applications using a rich set of Windows- and Linux-based tools from Rational and WebSphere, and then deploy their applications on Windows, Linux, and other supported platform middleware from IBM Information Management, Lotus, Tivoli, and WebSphere.

You will need an x86 computer running Linux or Windows with a DVD drive. To fully use the trial code on the SEK, we recommend a system with at least a 1 GHz processor, 512 MB of RAM, and 10 GB of available hard disk space.
