Follow along as the IBM Workplace Forms integration sample for IBM DB2 shows you how to use the integration framework to integrate Workplace Forms with DB2 V8 or later. This demo includes a simple purchase order sample application that you can use as the basis for future applications.

System requirements

The following list includes software requirements needed to use this demo:

  • IBM DB2 V8 or later
  • IBM WebSphere Application Server V5.1 or later
  • IBM Workplace Forms Viewer V2.5 or later
  • IBM Workplace Forms Server API V2.5 or later
  • Microsoft Internet Explorer 5 or later

This demo requires a minimum of 2 MB disk space on your local machine.


About the demo

The IBM Workplace Forms integration sample with IBM DB2 V8 demo shows how you can integrate Workplace Forms with DB2 using an integration framework (the development of which is detailed in the Demo Guide). The sample scenario provided is a simple purchase order application.

The purchase order application used to develop this integration demo is simple and generic to illustrate aspects of a Workplace Forms application that apply to businesses across many industries. Developers can easily and quickly reuse components from this demo to build their own applications that integrate Workplace Forms with DB2 using the integration framework.

This demo consists of HTML files, Workplace Forms forms, a Java properties file for the DB2 connection, a Java servlet, and several Java classes. The Demo Guide describes how to install and how to run the demo.
